Love AEM
hello It was very thoughtful of our teachers that they organize AEM for us.. 5 days learning at NP was very fascinating, full of enjoyment and knowledge. What I miss most now is the lab where we have to wear the white coat:D It looks as if we were professors!!!ha ha. And, believe it or not, I became very interested in microbiology after the lectures. I will consider taking microbiology for the future career. Thanks lectures in NP for grooming my interest in microbiology. Also thanks Sls for making this experience to be fun and never-boring.** JuDi  it's cOol to weaR lab cOat =)))   that's how our group act Lol xD AEm roX =D

My AeM experience****
To start with, I have to admit that, I didn't expect AEM to be that fun and interesting at first. But during those 5 days, I realized that THIS AEM is dam cool!! First, I get to know more about poly life. Even though i may not be going there after my O lvel, i could learn how things are in poly so that i can pass my information to those people who want to go. I was amazed at the very huge school buildings and their hands-on facilities. I realized Poly is the best for those who are more hands-on. Lectures tried their best to explain us about microbiology. Thanks you!! Sls make our days to be more lively and enjoyable. Thanks for all your help!!! To wrap up, AEM is a very informative and fasicinating expereince I had ever been exposed to. hihi.
to blog about AEM, it was a beneficial and unforgettable course i have ever had.the sls were so kind,,the classmates were soo hyper and lab sections were interesting than we haf imagined. but so sad, it was only for 5 days. still.. whenever i thought back about AEM, all those happy and enjoyable moments we had together at the field trips @tiger beer factory, the mushrOom farm and YakUlt company appeared n i still feel like going back for another time, n sure that these memories will remain in our memories forever. :D Credits go to all those SLs, esp benedict,benjamin and hamizan, for facilitating us throughout the whole course, and to the Ngee ann poly lectures who gave their best to teach us moree about cells,virus and all those. though we were not paying soo much attention... after a long lecture .we appreciate it.:D last but nt least, all those teachers @ YISS to arrange this AEM. HI my first post here is about the fun times i had at ngee ann and the times where we enjoy being part of the whole thing we enjoyed it as bio students and now it is time to let it come to an end as we all have to move on as school has started for the poly SLs and we are all busy but the memories will stay in our mind as things that we will never forget and i believe everyone of us feels the same so when we talk about poly life now we have something to contribute the happy times we had are really just fantastic:)i enjoyed it very much and hope to go back there:)  BYE

Lesson at MICROBIOLOGY
 Microbiology:I learnt a whole lot of new things. For example, how does virus attack our body and some more.I also gain a lot of knowledge by the outings like yakult factory, mushroom farm and tiger brewery and how they use microbes in the drink. yenting @ 12:02 AM

 during lab sessions. AEM(Advance elective module), 20 of us me(keng peng),billy,johby,jae,suthan,amruth,su zin and others,have been participating in it at NGEE ANN polytechnic.We are doing the course microbiology. For the first day, we assembled in school at 7 o'clock sharp. dhen take bus. we are welcomed by the teachers and student leaders, they were very friendly to us. we get our food!!! and play many games.hamizan one of the sl was funny We start day 2 with a test on lab safety.After the quiz we prepare ourselves to grow bacteria such as e coli in agar medium.i n johby are partner It is veri hard as it requires us to be quick and alert.We need concentration or we will end up contaminating our samples. Lecture was next in line.It was about structures and function of microrganisms. Our mushroom farm trip is after the lecture. we got to learn and eat mushroom at the same time.It was an unforgettable experience. Day 3 was started with lecture.Then we go for our field trip to Yakult company, we learnt that bacteria helps in the production of Yakult andthe manager was crazy active i mean.he is very funnyWe were given free Yakult there!!After the field trip we went back to the lab n learn how to stain our bacteria to provide the colouring needed to be seen under the microscope. Day 4 .start lectureWe visited the Tiger Beer company.We got to know huw they make diffrent kinds of beer and their history.After learning all that, we went to the tavern , where we are given free flow of softdrinks.We also played pool there. Day 5 is our last day and we have our presentation and final tests.Its sad but life must go on. We must get back to our daily life.We thank all the SLs and all our proffesors. |
